8 Days Kenya Safari: Tsavo East, Amboseli, Naivasha, Nakuru & Maasai Mara

After breakfast, enjoy a morning game drive as you exit Tsavo East, providing another opportunity to spot wildlife in the early hours when animals are most active. Continue your journey towards Amboseli National Park, passing through scenic countryside and local villages. Arrive in time for lunch and check in at your lodge or camp. In the afternoon, enjoy a game drive across the Amboseli plains, with spectacular views of Mount Kilimanjaro on clear days. Dinner and overnight in Amboseli.

After breakfast, spend a full day exploring Amboseli National Park, famous for its large elephant herds, open plains and breathtaking views of Mount Kilimanjaro. Enjoy a morning game drive through areas where elephants, lions, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras and hippos may be encountered. Return to the lodge for lunch and some time to relax before heading out for an afternoon game drive. As the sun begins to set, enjoy the beautiful scenery and wildlife before returning to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, depart Amboseli and drive towards Lake Naivasha through the scenic Great Rift Valley. Arrive at Lake Naivasha in time for lunch and check in at your hotel. In the afternoon, enjoy a relaxing boat ride on the lake, where you may see hippos and a variety of waterbirds. Continue with a visit to Crescent Island, a unique wildlife sanctuary where you can enjoy a guided walking experience among giraffes, zebras, gazelles and other animals. Return to your hotel for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, depart Lake Naivasha and drive to nearby Lake Nakuru National Park. Upon arrival, begin your game drive through the park, exploring its forests, grasslands and lakeshore areas. Lake Nakuru is well known for its rhinos and diverse birdlife, as well as opportunities to see lions, leopards, buffaloes, giraffes and other wildlife. Enjoy lunch at your lodge followed by an afternoon game drive, giving you more time to explore the park. Return to your lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, check out and depart Lake Nakuru for the world-famous Maasai Mara National Reserve. Enjoy a scenic drive through the Great Rift Valley and rural Kenyan landscapes before continuing towards the Mara. Arrive in time for lunch and check in at your lodge or camp. In the afternoon, head out for your first game drive in the Maasai Mara, exploring the vast savannah plains in search of lions, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, cheetahs and other wildlife. Return for dinner and overnight at your lodge or camp.

After breakfast, spend a full day exploring the Maasai Mara with morning and afternoon game drives. This is one of the best wildlife destinations in Kenya and offers excellent opportunities to encounter the Big Five and many other species. Explore different areas of the reserve while searching for lions, elephants, buffaloes, leopards, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras and numerous bird species. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the reserve, allowing you to maximize your time on safari before continuing with your afternoon game drive. Return to your lodge or camp in the evening for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, check out and enjoy an optional visit to a Maasai village, where you can learn about traditional Maasai culture, lifestyle and customs. After the visit, depart the Maasai Mara and begin your journey back to Nairobi. Enjoy the scenic countryside and Great Rift Valley landscapes along the way. Arrive in Nairobi in the afternoon and transfer to your hotel, residence, or airport, marking the end of your memorable 8-day Kenya safari.
